Richard Freemans will discuss how to get started as a cyclist and some opportunities here on the Shore.  He will emphasize the value of bicycling as part of a healthy exercise plan.  He will identify routes using the Eastern Shore Bicycle Plan and other local bicycling plans and demonstrate how bicycling can have a positive impact on tourism.  Richard will show how the communities of the shore and the terrain can make the Eastern Shore a world-class bicycling destination.

Richard has been a bike enthusiast for many years and moved to the Eastern Shore partly because of its bicycling potential.  He has lived in West Virginia, Virginia, and Rhode Island in his career as a hospital administrator.  He has completed many long-distance bike rides, including the Tour de Shore and the CBES rides locally, and the Slater Hospital 100K, the Maine to Rhode Island ride, and the Boston to Cape Double rides in New England.
